There is childbirth education intermingled during this process. We will cover such topics as: Making an informed choice Models of care Understanding how natural birth works Science v’s cultural practice Processing fears or concerns Relaxation techniques Developing and writing your birth plan Relationship issues Baby care Post-natal support Birth only package: 1 prenatal visit and birth attendance. If you are near to your due date or have had children before and just want a refresher, this could also be well suited for you. 2 hrs at your home Cost $ 180 [top] Postnatal Support (Home Care) When overwhelmed, struggling or losing confidence at home with your baby, an extra pair of helping hands, guidance, information and a fresh perspective on a challenging situation can be just the support you need. I will attend your family at home to help with: practical household duties (tidying, washing dishes, food preparation, shopping etc); baby care; breastfeeding; sleep; and parenting Min 2 hrs Cost $30/hr [top] Postnatal Overnight Stays I offer an overnight stay at your home, if support is needed with baby care through the night and to help parents get a less interrupted night sleep. From around 10pm to 6am Cost $200 [top] Peer Support Groups Alongside a group facilitator, peer support groups create a time and space to share your knowledge, resources and life experiences with others. Strong bonds of friendship often grow from this and confidence as a mother can soar. The powerful act of telling your birth stories, listening to each other, passing on what you know and having a safe place to ask questions all help pregnant women and new mothers to find their feet and adjust more comfortably into the day to day realities of motherhood.
